Required Tools for Installation:

* Tape measure

* Scissors
* Wood Stakes

* String
* Work Gloves

* 1 3/8” Auger Bit
* Drill or Portable Drill

1) Check with your local building codes to determine if a building permit is required for this particular fence.

2) Decide where you want your fence.

3) Determine your starting point. Typically the fence will start at a corner.

4) If the fence is to be installed in a straight line, it will be important to snap a chalk line to ensure that the fence remains in that straight line.

5) Mark off the placement of the Ground Sockets. Ground Sockets should be place on 8’ centers.

6) At your designated starting point use the pilot hole tool to create a 12” to 15” deep by 1” diameter starter hole.

7) Drive the first Ground Socket into the pilot hole using the rubber mallet. Make sure the flange is driven all the way to the turf line.

8) Verify the distance from the first post ground socket to the second prior to creating the pilot hole. The distance from the center of the first post to the center of the second post is 8 feet.

9) Using the pilot hole tool, create a 12” to 15” deep by 1” diameter starter hole.

10) Drive the first Ground Socket into the pilot hole using the rubber mallet. Make sure the flange is driven all the way to the turf line.

11) Repeat steps 8, 9, and 10 until all post Ground Sockets are in place.

It is recommended to wear gloves when installing the fence posts. There can be a considerable amount of friction and some heat sliding the Tri-CleatTM sleeves and caps in place on the poles during the assembly process.

Each post requires two Tri-CleatTM sleeves and one cap. The two Tri-CleatTM should be installed on each post with the center cleat pointing up and the two outer cleats pointing down.

12) The bottom cleat should be no closer than 1/2” to the bottom of the post. The center cleat should be positioned in the middle of the post.

13) If installing a “Diamond Meshed” fence, align the first vertical column with the starting post and cleats.

14) If installing an “Oval or Square Meshed” fence, first fold the very end of the fence so to align the first column of holes vertically. This will provide additional strength and more of a finished look to the end of the fence.

15) Weave the top and first mesh of the fence over and under the Tri-CleatTM cap on the starting or first post.

16) Working downward on the post attached the next closest weave onto the center cleat. Pull downward on the cleat to stretch the fence taut on the post. Continue down the post to the bottom cleat. Again weave the last or bottom mesh over and under the Tri-CleatTM and pull downward on the cleat to stretch the fence taut on the post. The bottom cleat and fence combination should be stretched all the way to the turf line.

17) Once the fence is hung on the first or starting post, pull the fence material taut to the next post and attach the column of holes or mesh nearest the post and cleats in the same manner as described in step 16.

18) Continue down the fence line installing the fence on each post as described in steps 16 and 17.

19) When hanging the fence on the last post, repeat all the steps 13, 14, 15 and 16.

20) Trim excess fence material if necessary.

Splicing materials for longer continuous fences.

1) If splicing a “Diamond Meshed” fence, over lap the first vertical column of each joining fence and weave the top and first mesh of the over lap over and under the Tri-CleatTM cap on the post.

2) If splicing an “Oval or Square Meshed” fence, first fold the very end of the fence so to align the first column of holes vertically on both fences to be spliced and over lap the the ends to be spliced. Weave the top and first mesh of the over lap over and under the Tri-CleatTM cap on the post.

3) If splicing two sections of fence between posts, start by overlapping the two ends aligning the meshes. Weave a rod or a stake down through the meshes that are overlapped. Continue installing the remainder of the fence.
